In the heat pump heating system, the volume calculation of the buffer tank is a key link, which is directly related to the stability and energy efficiency of the system. The following are several common buffer tank volume calculation methods:
1, based on the system stability of the amount of water required and the difference between the actual amount of water system calculation
Calculate the amount of water required for system stability (M1):
Formula: M1 = QT / (C△T)
Where, Q for the heat pump unit heat production (unit: KW); T for the frost time (unit: seconds); C for the specific heat capacity of water, generally take 4.187 (unit: J / (kg - ℃)); △ T for the water supply temperature is allowed to drop the maximum value, usually take 3 ℃ (or adjusted according to actual needs).
Calculate the actual amount of water in the system:
For underfloor heating systems, the actual water volume is equal to the water capacity per metre of the underfloor heating pipe multiplied by the total length of the system pipe.
If the end is a radiator, the water capacity of the radiator should also be included in the calculation.
Calculate the buffer tank volume:
Buffer tank volume = Water volume required for system stabilisation (M1) - Actual water volume of the system.
2, based on empirical estimation of housing parameters
For some simple system or preliminary design stage, can be based on the total floor area of the house, the highest floor area and the expected number of people for empirical estimation. This method is more crude, but is suitable for rapid assessment or preliminary design.
3. Adoption of Standard Uniform Volume
In practice, if there is a lack of detailed calculations or in order to simplify the design process, you can use the buffer tank volume of the standard unified allocation, such as 100 L or 150 L. These two models can usually meet the needs of most small to medium-sized heat pump heating system.
4, Notes
Correction factor: In the process of calculation, it may be necessary to correct the parameters or results in the formula according to the actual situation to ensure the accuracy of the calculation.
Material and safety: When choosing a buffer tank, in addition to considering the volume, you also need to pay attention to its material, sealing, corrosion resistance and whether it is equipped with a safety valve and other key elements.
Installation location: buffer tank installation location also needs to be reasonably planned to ensure that it can give full play to its role and easy maintenance.
In summary, the volume calculation of the buffer tank is an important part of the heat pump heating system design. Through reasonable calculation and selection, it can ensure the stability and energy efficiency of the system, thus enhancing the comfort and satisfaction of users.
